Eligibility criteria
Some eligibility criteria are specific to each position offer.
Others are common to all the positions: they are given by the European Commission and agreed upon by BIOART consortium.
What the common criteria are (click)>>
- Language: excellent English level.
- Nationality: nationals from any country may apply.
- Mobility: at the time of the recruitment, the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.), in the country of the chosen host institution, for more than 12 months in the three years immediately prior to the date of the recruitment.
- Early Stage Researcher (ESR) have, at the time of the recruitment by the host organisation, i) not yet been awarded a doctorate degree and ii) are in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience*) of their research careers, including the research training period that would entitle his/her to a doctorate (non-research work after acquiring a Master’s degree is not counted in the four years of the research career; certificates on the nature of tasks in non-research employment will be requested for short listed candidates).
Each ESR position includes a planned PhD affiliation with a university, which can be negotiated, including cases of an existing enrolment to a PhD programme.
- Experienced Researcher (ER) must, at the time of recruitment
(i) be in possession of a doctoral degree, independently of the time taken to acquire it, or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience*, and ii) have less than five years of full-time equivalent research experience at the time of recruitment.
* Full-Time Equivalent Research Experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited or seconded, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged.
Salary information
Salaries are highly competitive. They vary according to position offer and country where the host lab is (country correction factors are given by the European Commission).

Contract duration
Contract duration is 36 months for Early Stage Researchers (ESR) positions and 24 months for Experienced Researchers (ER) positions.
